What is glass2? glass2 will not stain under normal use, will not absorb cooking oils or wine, and is not etched by the acids of lemons, tomatoes, or vinegar. Our material has no coating or sealant that must be replenished.

Can glass2 be used for counter tops? glass2 can be used for kitchen counter tops, island tops, vanity tops, desk tops, wall cladding, flooring, and fascia.
How easily can glass2 be fabricated? glass2 can be fabricated by both stone and glass fabricators using industry standard tools and equipment listed in this site under Instructions. glass2 is harder than marble but softer than granite yet more rigid then both, therefore cabinets and substrate, if used, must be extremely flat.
Can glass2 be used for columns? glass2 can be cut and mitered together to form a facade, but cannot be “bent” or molded into a semi-round shape.
Can glass2 be repaired if scratched? glass2 can be repaired if scratched. Using standard glass industry tools, supplies, principles, and techniques, a skilled fabricator can re-polish the surface to achieve a shine very close to the factory finish.
Is glass2 tempered? glass2 cannot be tempered, but clear tempered glass may be laminated to the backside to improve durability, and for safety purposes.
Can glass2 be classified as safety glass? glass2 is currently produced in these standard formats but we often make unique sizes for special requirements:
(1) Standard … no backing
(2) Level One … clear, low iron glass laminated to glass2– can be fabricated
(3) Level Two … clear, low iron Tempered glass laminated to glass2– can NOT be fabricated
Note … Level One and Two uses various thicknesses depending on customer requirements: standard production is with either 5mm thick or 10mm thick clear glass. If a customer needs glass2 produced to a specific standard, such as ASTM C1048, a request is to be made with full details.
